On the Wild Side 2

Living in the coastal city of Durban, we are surrounded by the "Wild Banana" or Strelitzia Nicolai which by the way doesn't produce bananas at all. It is does provide the local vervet monkeys with food though. The Strelitzia family is well known for the beautiful orange crane-like flowers it produces. The Wild Banana produces stunning white and blue flowers and the plant can become quite tall with true banana like leaves. I have always admired these beautiful plants.
